The MF 135 uses a combined transmission and hydraulic system — the same fluid lubricates both. There is no separate hydraulic reservoir.
Capacity: 30.3 litres (approximately 8 US gallons).
Fill point: The plug on the right side of the rear axle housing.
Fluid specification: Universal Tractor Fluid (UTF) meeting MF M1135 specification. OEM fluid: Permatran 821XL. Compatible: Traveller UTF, Kubota UDT, JD Hy-Gard, or any UTF stating M1135 compliance. Do not use straight ATF.
Hydraulic/transmission filter: OEM 3783558M1 (also 1871933M91 / 521451M1). Change at every 500-hour oil change.
